17 September Game Cancelled

I just got a call from Joe at the league office saying
that our game on the 17th was cancelled. Apparently, Agave was
involved in an incident last Monday, and would be given a 1-game
suspension for fighting.
Because Agave has to forfeit the game, the
Firecrackers will be given a 1-0 win in the standings. This 1-0
win will give the Firecrackers a 10-1-1 record for the season and also
grants us the regular season league title.
Going into the playoffs, we'll be the # 1 seed, facing
the 4th place finisher. As of press time, Agave will finish the
season with 14 points and no games left. They are in a 3-way tie
with La Soledad and Mundialito. Soledad has 2 games left and
Mundialito has 1 more against the lowly Halcones. Mundialito
barely beat the Halocones last time they played, 1-0, so there could be
an upset. In all likelihood, though, Agave will finish 4th, and
we'll be playing them at Backesto on October 1st.

are reported next Tuesday.
Also, plan on a practice on Saturday,
September 29th.
